Kinbaku

It’s not actually called “shibari.” Shibari is a soft term meaning, “to tie.” the Japanese word is “kinbaku,” a more specific word which involves weaving intricate knots for binding and suspending people for erotic and sometimes artistic purposes. In our case, we enjoy, both artistic and erotic.
How interesting! I always knew it quite simply as Intricate Rope Bondage or Japanese Rope Bondage. Thanks for sharing this 😊 xx

100% correct. Shibari was introduced as a term meaning bondage in North America in the ’90’s 🙂
